The Mission of The Joyful Foundation, a Not-for-Profit Organization, is to extend a loving hand to those in need and provide opportunities for those who would benefit from service to others.
We supply quality hand-made blankets as a gift of comfort and warmth to individuals in their time of illness or hardship.
We are built on compassion for the individual and belief in the ability to change a life with one small act of kindness at a time!

We maintain a waiting list of hospitals and medical centers who have requested to receive our blankets.
There is an overwhelming need that we can only hope to meet. One of our children's centers in Orange County receives 50 blankets each month from us, they need 50 per day!

What We Do
The Foundation supplies blankets that are hand-made by Joyful volunteers to hospitals, cancer centers and individuals receiving long-term medical treatments, chemotherapy, renal dialysis, as well as victims of spousal abuse and their children.
The blankets are sewn of quality fleece and are double-sided for thickness to be a source of warmth and comfort for patients during long medical treatment sessions.
The Joyful Foundation supplies the materials for the blankets which are then assembled by volunteers. Volunteers are educated concerning the strict quality control measures that must be taken to ensure that the blankets can be used by medical patients; the fleece must be washed and packaged in plastic bags.
The Joyful Foundation also hosts “Cut & Sew Days” where volunteers gather together to make the blankets in an assembly-line fashion.
100% of every dollar donated goes towards the purchase of supplies to make the blankets!

- Every $25 raised allows us to make and donate one more blanket to a sick adult or child!
- We make blankets with love and a commitment to "ZERO WASTE”. Blanket fabric scraps are Recycled and Reused!
- Large blanket scraps are used to make blankets and handed out to the local homeless shelters!
- Blanket scraps are used to make Dog Toys and the small scraps are used to stuff Dog Beds which are delivered to animal shelters!
